Centre Assures 177Mw supply to AP

Convinced with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu’s plea for help, NDA government has granted a huge loan packages to AP for expansion of NTPC plants at Vijayawada and Krishna Patnam. The latest news is union power minister Piyush Goel has agree to allocate 177 MW power supply to state from Jhajjar power plant in Haryana.

Apart from this Coal Ministry has ordered the Western Coal Fields of Maharashtra (WCFM) to enter into memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the APGENCo for allocation of 400,000 tonnes of coal to the state thermal power projects and immediately WCFM writes a letter to APGENCo for the same. Minister Piyush Goel also agreed to provide additional railway wagons to AP state for transporting coal from different locations to Thermal plants in the state.

So, if these three decisions turn into reality, AP state can overcome the present power crisis. Once, the 4th phase expansion works of NTTPS in Vijayawada and the second stage of DSPS in Krishna Patnam are over, AP state will have additional 1600 MW power supply.
