Jairam Ramesh high hopes for Congress in T

 

 

 

Union Minister Jairam Ramesh and Adilabad constituency Congress MP who is on a Telangana tour after the bifurcation and also to assess the prospects of the party held a rally in Karimnagar on Sunday. As part of popularizing the Congress in Telangana he has expressed confidence that the Congress has the guts to fight it out alone in Telangana and also assured the people present that the Congress would secure an absolute majority in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. He also said that Sonia Gandhi was not the Telanagana Talli but the only the draft person for the T bill and the credit to the state formation goes only to the Congress and not any other party who are staking their claim in this effort.



Ramesh also mentioned that a dalit CM would be made the CM of Telangana if it was voted to power and also said national status would be given to Pranahita and Chevella projects. He further elaborated that if the TJAC wanted to contest with the support of the Congress they are most welcome to join the Party and the Congress would support them in the elections. Another important fact mentioned was that the selection of the SC ST and minority groups would be done by Koppula Raju a SC who was a former IAS officer turned Congress politician. He  also said that if elected to power there would also be tax exemptions for industries in Telangana.
