CBI, which had a setback at High Court over minister Dharmana Prasada rao’s prosecution in Vanpik lands case, is planning to challenge the High Court’s decision in Supreme Court. It wrote a letter to its higher authorities in New Delhi seeking permission in this regard. In wake Supreme Court’s lashing at CBI and the government over tampering of CBI report by the political executives, the request may be considered by the CBI head office.
More over, the exit of Law Minister Ashwini Kumar and Railways Minister PK Bansal on corrupt charges, may oblige CBI and state government to take action on home minister Sabita Indra Reddy, R&B minister Dharmana Prasada rao and four other charge sheeted ministers in Jagan’s cases. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s government may not be able to sit and prolong the cases of the charge sheeted ministers for any long in the prevailing serious mood of the Supreme Court. If, CBI approaches the government again seeking prosecution or custody of the ministers, it may not be able to turn down its request any further.
