Bihar will go for 3rd phase of polling tomorrow

 

Third phase of polling for 50 constituencies of Bihar Assembly will be held on Wednesday. Total 808 persons are contesting for 50 seats in Bhojpur, Buxer, Nalanda, Patna, Sharan and Vaishali districts in the state. Out of them 215 persons are facing criminal charges.

 

There are total 1, 45, 85, 177 voters. Out of them 78,31,388 are male, 66,86,718 female and 599 are transgender. Election commission has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure smooth polling keeping in view contestants criminal track records.

 

RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Singh is contesting from Mahua constituency and younger son Tejaswi Prasad is contesting from Raghopur constituency. Voters will decide their fate during tomorrow’s polling. BJP senior leader Nanda Kishore Sharma, Deputy speaker of the state assembly Amarendra Prathap Singh, party whip Arun Kumar Sinha are few noted leaders among the contestants whose fate will be decided tomorrow.

 

Bihar is undergoing elections in five phases. So far two phases were completed and third phase will be conducted on Wednesday. Fourth and fifth phases of elections will be held on November 1st and 5th simultaneously. Counting of votes and results announcement on November 8th.
