As predicted, police booked cases against YSR Congress party Paderu MLA Giddi Eeswari following complaints lodged by TDP leaders. Separate cases were booked in Chintapalli, Aruku and Paderu Police Stations against the MLA for using abusive language and threatening to kill Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during her speech at a meeting held at Chintapalli two days ago by her party president Jagan Mohan Reddy opposing Bauxite mining in Visakha Agency area.

 

Police have booked cases under IPC Secs. 505(1) (b) ; 506(2); 511; 124 (a) read with 307. Police may take her into custody any time today after taking legal opinion. Jagan Mohan Reddy was standing beside her when she was abusing and threatening the Chief Minister. But, he did not tried to stop her, instead enjoyed it. Police can book cases against him also as the meeting was conducted by him and for allowing her to threaten the Chief Minister. But, he may be spared as it may trigger fresh controversy.
