Top Industrialists on AP government’s advisory board

It is wise idea to have prominent industrialists on state government advisory board, who may help the government in setting up new industries and also could bridge the gap between government and industrial sector.
AP government has formed a special task force comprising top industrialists of the country. Wipro chairman Azim Premji, Hero Corp chairman Sunil Kanth Munjal, ICICI Bank chairman KV Kamath, Godrej group chairman Adi Godrej, Sundaram-Clayton Limited Chairman Venu Srinivasan, former Nasscom president Kiran Karnik, Tata Consultancy Services vice chairman S Ramadorai and CII Director General Chandrajit Banerji are in this special task force lead by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Revenue, finance, transport, agriculture and municipal administration ministers and the Principal Secretaries of these departments are also joins their team as members. Initially, three years term was set for this task force. The members are expected to hold a meeting once in every three months during the first year. The Task force is given free hand to again constitute working groups to handle specific tasks.
The main purpose of constituting this task force is to attract investments to the state for Industrial and Infrastructure sectors’ development. It will guide the state government by providing a strategic road map for this purpose. This task force also helps the state government on various issues related to investments, establishing industries and problems need to be address for a speedy development in the state.
