YSR Party refuses to attend APNGO meeting

APNGOs are conducting an all-party meeting on Saturday at Hyderabad to garner support for their fight for Samaikyandhra and to ensure all the parties oppose division of the state in Assembly and Parliament.

However, YSR Congress party, which claims that is fighting alone for keeping the state united and repeatedly asking TDP and other parties to join its fight, has refused to participate in this meeting. Its senior leader, Mysoora Reddy wrote a letter to P.Ashok babu stating that his party doesn’t wants to share platform with Congress and TDP which are maintaining double standards on bifurcation. He writes that YCP is a party of high morals and values. It doesn’t want to spoil its reputation by sharing common platform with dishonest parties like Congress and TDP. Mysoora Reddy, though not mentioned in his letter has opined that people will not appreciate such meetings by APNGOs.

However TDP, which is divided into two groups as Andhra and Telangana, is first to positively respond to APNGOs appeal. Its MLA Payyavula Keshav has come to NGOs office and assured them to attend the meeting. He grabbed the opportunity to sharply criticize YSR Congress party for refusing to attend the all-party meeting.

He alleges that YCP is actually fighting for division of the state in the name of Samaikyandhra. It’s president Jagan Mohan Reddy is behaving as opportunist by showing his readiness to support Congress led UPA, BJP led NDA or Third Front. He flays YCP for absconding from all-party meeting, which is intended to chalk-out action plan for keeping the state united.
