Was Modi annoyed with Pak unchanged attitude?

Just two months ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shook hands with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and they both made the world, especially people of two countries believe the tensions between two countries is going to ease very soon and friendship between two countries going to blossom once again. However, Modi’s speech addressing the Indian army and air Force personals at Kargil and Leh in Jammu and Kashmir State underlines that he too lost confidence in improving bilateral relations between two countries.

Making a straight and sharp attack against Pakistan he said “Pakistan has been indulged in proxy war against India for many years and it is still continuing. I think it is doing so because it is not that courageous to challenge and win over India in a straight conventional war. But, it should realize that times are changing. It shouldn’t expect India remain a silent spectator even when it is being assaulted.”

Modi’s speech may appears a routine one to impress the people of the country and to boost the morale of solders, but it is clearly revealing that Modi, who actually quite confident to bridge the gap between the two countries is also lost confidence after seeing there is no change in Pakistan’s attitude to his friendship proposals. This is no good sign or development for both countries.
