Preparation for Metro Rail works begins at Vizag

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC Ltd.) Chief E. Sreedharan has submitted the detailed project reports of Vizag and Vijayawada Metro Rail Projects to the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recently. Hence, the state government has started preparations for launching of the project at both cities. It is planning to launch a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for this purpose before starting the construction works of the projects, so as to utilize this intermediate period. State government allows the DMRC Ltd to conduct geo-technical investigation (soil testing) in the corridors ear marked for metro rail projects in the both cities.
