UDM begins working on Metro Rail projects in AP

Union Urban Development Ministry Principle Secretary Sudheer accompanied by his team of officials arrived to VGTM (Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri) development office today to discuss on Metro Rail project between Vijayawada and Guntur. Concerned officials from these four areas have joined their meeting. They have also discussed about infrastructure development in this specific area, which is reported to be developed as the new capital of Andhra Pradesh state.

However, UDM Principle Secretary Sudheer said that he is not concerned whether the new capital will be built at VGTM area or not. He said that he came there to gather necessary information for development of this particular area and the two Metro Rail projects in the state. He said that his department will extend all possible help to the state government in developing VGTM area in par with international standards. He said that his department is also working on Metro Rail project between Vizag and Vijayawada.
