Can you guess the salary amount the present Reserve Bank Of India (RBI) Governor Mr Urjit Patel taking home? Urjit who took charge from Raghuram Rajan as RBI Governor on September 4th had first taken his complete salary for October month.
Urjit Patel took Rs 2.09 lakhs salary amount in the month. Previous governor Rajan too was paid the same amount as salary before he retired from the post. Rajan was given Rs 27,933 as remuneration for his four days work in RBI.
No support staff has been provided to Urjit Patel at his residence. Two cars and two drivers have been provided to him. However, Rajan was provided with three cars and four drivers. One caretaker and nine maintenance attendants were posted as supporting staff in the bungalow provided by the bank to Raghuram Rajan at Mumbai.
The bank was asked to provide details of remuneration given to former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan and incumbent Patel.
