UP tops the list of crimes

Uttar Pradesh under the aegis leadership of Adityanath has achieved a record. The Amnesty International India has released a data showing UP as topper in hate crimes. In the first six months of 2018, 100 hate crimes were registered in UP. The data is collected on the basis of crimes committed against  Dalits, Adivasis, members of racial or religious minority groups, transgender people, and other marginalised people, reported in mainstream English and Hindi media. Incidents such as Dalits being attacked for riding horses indicate the deteriorating tolerance in the biggest state of India. However hate crimes are not new for UP. People often get assaulted on the name of cows and inter caste marriages. From Spetember 2015 more than 600 hate crimes were recorded on the website of Amnesty. Many crimes might have gone unrecorded.
