For the first time after Telangana state is emerged as the 29th state in India, Telangana government is presenting its first budget today. Finance Minister Etela Rajendar said it is a tailor-made-budget intended for an all-round development of the state. He said it makes him feel very happy to present the budget where Telangana state was insulted by the Andhra rulers. He asked the opposition parties to co-operate with him for presenting the budget and they can discuss it on Friday.
However, CM KCR seems is well prepared to face the opposition parties’ severe criticism against his government. He signs a MoU with Chhattisgarh government for 1000mw power supply and also appeals for additional 1000mw supply, for which CM Dr. Raman Singh positively responded. So, KCR armed with this fresh deal may try to defend his government from opposition parties’ attacks.
But, BJP MLAs are reported to be arriving to Assembly carrying kerosene lanterns in their hands, hinting a serious fight with ruling TRS government. Congress and TDP are also having their own weapons to corner TRS government.
TDP MLA Revanth Reddy said “Government is sitting cool while farmers are committing suicides due to lack of water supply to their crops. We will fight with government on their behalf.” So, TDP may mainly concentrate on this issue to attack TRS government.
However, once again CM KCR has pulled out his ‘Telangana cards’ to counter TDP attacks. He asked the people not to fall into the trap of political slaves of Andhra rulers.
