Former chief minister K Rosaiah has appealed to the Centre to take a decision on the Telangana issue before it takes an ugly turn. Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Rosaiah said the Centre must take a stand keeping in view the events unfolding in the state.
Ruling out 100% consensus on the issue in the state assembly, the former CM said he had conveyed the same to the UPA chairperson during his visit to Delhi last year. "Cent per cent consensus is not possible on such issues. The same was the case when Madras state was formed or for that matter even when Andhra was merged with Telangana to form Andhra Pradesh," he said.
