Telangana Bandh against Polavaram likely tomorrow

TRS Chief and CM designate of soon to be Telangana state , K Chandra Sekhar  is likely to declare a bandh tomorrow in protest against the Polovaram ordinance which the Center plans to  promulgate. Mr. Rao, who had earlier had discussions in Delhi  said that he  had information about such an ordinance being cleared in the first meeting of the Union Cabinet. As per the ordinance it would mean the transfer of 136 villages, 211 hamlets and seven mandals of Khammam district to the successor state of Andhra Pradesh. The Telangana CM-designate said that the boundaries could not be altered through ordinances, both the elected governments should have discussions and it should be altered only after that. His repeated stance is that he is opposing the design of the dam and not the construction of the dam itself. The question now is that even before assuming office the TRS party cannot start their administration on this note which could end up damaging their credibility at the start itself.
