TDP issues notices to Talasani and three others

TDP is reported to be issued notices to its former members and MLAs Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Teegala Krishna Reddy, Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and Dharma Reddy for crossing party lines and for continuing as TDP MLAs even after joining the TRS party. It asks them to quit their MLA posts immediately that they got through the TDP or else be prepared to face legal action.

TDP is going to file a petition in the High Court today appealing it to order them to stay away from upcoming MLC elections as they are still continuing as TDP MLAs. TRS is fielding its 5th candidate in the MLC elections relying upon the four TDP MLAs and some outside support from opposition parties, whereas it has only 71 MLAs to support 4 MLC candidates only. Hence, if the court prohibits the four TDP MLAs from taking part in the MLC elections, it would be a big blow to the ruling TRS party.

TDP has been demanding them to quit their MLA posts for a long time, but they are ignoring its demands. Talasani Srinivas Yadav alone has submitted his resignation letter to Speaker Madhusudhanachary before joining KCR’s cabinet, but it was also not approved until now. Hence, TDP may appeal the High Court to order the Speaker to approve their resignations or disqualify them immediately.
