TDP to stay away from Allagadda bye-elections

TDP has decided to stay away from Allagadda bye-elections following a formal request from its rival YSR Congress party. Following the tradition of leaving the seat to family member of deceased, TDP has decided to stay away from the elections, said Deputy CM KE Krishna Murthy. Allagadda bye-elections are necessitated with the sudden death of YSR Congress party candidate Sobha Nagireddy. Hence, her daughter Akhila Priya is given party ticket to contest these bye-elections. TDP’s decision will ensure an opposed election of YSR Congress party candidate.
