Civil war in Syria claims 60000 lives

 

The two year old conflict between the Syrian government and anti-government forces so far takes more than 60,000 lives on both sides according to a UN appointed commission’s report. It states due to the continuation of the street fights between rebels and gunmen known as Shabiha, it couldn’t figure it out the exact number of deaths.

 

It fears with each passing day the death toll rapidly increasing as the fight is also gradually intensifying. According to Rami Abdul-Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights around 1,486 rebels and army defectors, 1,464 Syrian army soldiers were died in the last month alone. Besides, 2080 civilians including 298 children and 291 women were also killed in the cross firing between the two groups. In addition to these deaths, there were 975 unidentified bodies of civilians and fighters found lying on the streets.

 

Now, the hostilities is gradually expanding to other areas Syria, while the deadly battle continues in Aleppo, Damascus and Homs, Syria's three largest cities, The rebel groups are fighting against President Bashar Assad's government since last two years.

 

Neither of the two groups has made any attempts to put an end to the mostly deadliest war going on the earth since last two years. While, President Bashar Assad blames that the rebel groups were able to continue their fight due to funding from foreign groups, which wants destabilize the government, the rebel groups accuse the Government for using its own military forces on its own people to suppress their peaceful agitations, which takes now a violent shape.

 

While, both the groups indulged in blame game simultaneously continues their war games also, with which every month thousands of innocent people including children and women are killed for not their mistake. United Nations has tried to bring the warring groups to table but in vain. The deadly battle continues and the world is counting the death toll that rises every day.
