The Supreme Court while hearing the case of a 20-year-old Kerala woman has given a bold statement. It has asserted that people who has crossed the age of minority could choose whomever they want to live with. The apex court had also clarified that they cannot interfere in such marriage of two consenting adults and cannot nullify the marriage in a habeas corpus (writ requiring a person under arrest to be brought before a judge or into court) petition.
