Supreme Court responding to the petitions filed challenging the HC verdict on allowing Election Commission to announce Municipal elections verdict on April 9th, issues stay order and adjourned the case to April 7th. Hence there may be some delay in announcing the results of Municipal elections. Obviously, all political parties had a sigh of relief with apex court’s stay order. However, if Supreme Court also agrees with elections commission’s arguments and allows it to declare the results on April 9th, those who fails to bag maximum municipalities would be in fix and as it may leave unseen pressures.
