Center grants permission for prosecuting IAS officer

Today, Central government has granted permission to CBI for prosecuting IAS officer Sri Lakshmi, who was arrested in connection with Obulapuram illegal mining cases and currently out on bail on health grounds. The decision is considered to be very significant, as Sri Lakshmi has played a vital role in granting permissions to Gali Janardhan Reddy’s Obulapuram mining company. However, she has been repeatedly saying that she was forced to co-operate with the mining company only because of the pressures from CM office. Hence, her prosecution by CBI may unearth many stunning facts and may bring out many big names involved in this case. Currently, Sri Lakshmi is taking treatment for her back pain at Vellore.
