Srilakshmi is a good officer: Chandrababu

IAS officer Srilakshmi, who was jailed in OMC case and recently released on bail, had been facing difficult times of her life, because of her role played during late YSR regime. She says that being an officer in the government she is obliged to follow the orders and instructions issued from higher authorities, to be precise orders from former CM late YS Rajashekar Reddy and his office. However, the courts and CBI is not in a mood to consider her obligations and so is she facing jail, bail, CBI and court cases all these days.

However, former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, during his ‘vastunna meekosam’ padayatra in East Godavari district speaking to people has said “Srilakshmi is a good officer and she has worked very efficiently during my regime. But, she is facing a miserable situation due to the evil deeds by late YSR and his government. His statement appreciating Srilakshmi reveals that it is government which misused its powers and officers, with which several IAS officials have been jailed and facing CBI cases for not their faults.
