Not afraid of Augusta Scam- Sonia

Sonia Gandhi has challenged the government to prove her involvement in the Augusta Chopper scam. The 3000 crore deal for Augusta Choppers took place during the tenure of Sonia led UPA government. The deal was later scrapped off over the allegations of bribery, but not before huge amounts were paid to the higher diplomats in India. BJP was now trying to revoke the allegations to corner the congress party in Rajya Sabha. Subramanian Swamy of BJP has today tried to drag Sonia’s name on the field of Rajya Sabha, which was met with severe resistance from the opposition. Rajya Sabha was adjourned after the ruckus created on the issue.

Sonia Gandhi was quick to react to the allegations and said that she was not afraid of any inquiry. “I am not afraid of anyone cornering me as there is no basis to that. All the accusations they are throwing at us are false,” said Sonia to the reporters regarding the allegations.  Ahmed Patel who was said to have accepted bribe on behalf of Sonia too was quick to rubbish the allegations. One could only wonder.. if nobody has taken the money, then where has it gone!
