Sonia Temple vandalized

Although, the courts have prohibited erecting statues of political leaders everywhere, no one is bothered to follow the orders. As a result, thousands of statues of politicians are popping-up everywhere in the country. Everything would be fine until, the political situation remains calm, but once the tensions erupts between political parties, the same statues which were garlanded will become the targets for rivals. We have seen statues of late NTR, YSR, Rajiv and Indira Gandhi vandalized during the agitations period. Yet, the obsession for erecting statues continues. Now, this madness grows and some people are constructing temples also for their leaders.

Former minister Shankara rao is one such leader, who wants to build temple for his party president Sonia Gandhi. He traced out a piece of land in Secunderabad and seeking permission from the concerned officials for constructing the temple.

However, even before he start his dream project, some enthusiastic Congress workers have constructed a temple at Telangana Chowk in Kareem Nagar district headquarters few weeks ago, for she becomes goddess for them for granting Telangana state. But, the temple was found demolished on yesterday morning by some unknown persons. Need not to say what could be the reason for it.
