Scorpio and 6 Cars Fail Crash Test

In a shocker to the automobile industry in India, 6 cars failed the crucial crash test. Some of India's most popular cars including the Mahindra Scorpio, Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki Eeco and Hyundai Eon have failed a basic crash test conducted by Global New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP), who warn that adults would suffer serious or fatal injuries if the cars are involved in a major crash.

The tests conducted showed that in an accident, all the cars would leave the driver with possible life-threatening injuries to the occupants. The tests saw the basic models, all without airbags, driven at 64kmph into a block simulating a head-on collision.
