Bus fares to go high from today

As expected, the state government has given its nod for increasing the bus fares to keep the wheels of APS RTC in running. The two month long strike by APNGOs and strikes in Telangana left its ill-effects on RTC. Hence, even people expect there would be steep hike in the bus fares. Government also might have understood this situation and gave nod for hike.
The increased fares will come into effect from today Tuesday mid-night. The hike in ticket fares varies with different services of RTC.
Here are the details: Garuda Service: 20NP/ KM; Garuda plus: 15NP/KM; Indra: 12NP/KM; Super luxury:11 NP/KM;Deluxe:9 NP/KM; Express:7NP/KM; Palle Velugu: 4NP/KM.
