Rosaiah given Karnataka additional charge

President Pranab Mukherjee has appointed K Rosaiah, Governor of Tamil Nadu, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Karnataka, in addition to his own duties as the Tamil Nadu Governor. In a press communiqué sent  from Rashtrapati Bhavan, he will take additional responsibility  until they find a replacement for  H.R. Bhardwaj, who completes his tenure on 28.06.2014.


Vakkom Purushothaman, Governor of Mizoram, will take on responsibility as Governor of Tripura, as Devanand Konwar completes his tenure tomorrow. Krishant Kant Paul, Governor of Meghalaya, has been appointed to discharge the functions of the Governor of Nagaland and the President has accepted the resignation of Nagaland governor Ashwani Kumar.
