Rajya Sabha Elections on Feb 7th

Elections schedule for 55 Rajya Sabha seats in 16 states has been announced today. T.Subbi Rami Reddy, KVP Ramachandra rao, Nandi Yellaiah and Ratna Bhai’s current term will ends on April 4th. Nandamuri Harikrishna quits his Rajya Sabha seat in protest against Centre’s decision to divide the state. T.Subbi Rami Reddy is keen to contest to Lok Sabha from Vizag constituency, which is now represented by D. Purandeswari.

The elections schedule as follows: Notification: 21st January, Last date for filing nominations- 28th , scrutiny: From 28th, nominations withdrawal: 31st, elections: February 7th.
