AP may get Railway Zone in April

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to New Delhi yesterday, spoke to media. He said that he got information from the Center that Railway zone to the state will be set up in the next month. He said the process was nearly completed and the Center may make the announcement about this anytime.

He said the state badly need full support and financial assistance from the Center for development. He said that it may take much longer time for the state to develop if the Center doesn’t grant special status. Hence the Center has to grant special status to the state without any delay otherwise it is very difficult to convince the industrialists to set up their plants in the state.

He said the Center has released Rs. 500 crore few weeks ago and is likely to release Rs.2, 500 before end of this month towards budget deficit of the state. He said that the Center has released Rs. 1000 crores as first installment for construction of capital city and may release Rs.500 crores very soon. He said the Center should grant Bharat Ratna Award to late NTR.
