Rahul Gandhi travels in general compartment!

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has surprised everyone by travelling in a general compartment of the Sachkhand express to reach Ambala in Haryana on Tuesday evening. He takes pains to travel in general compartment to see the condition of farmers with his own eyes after the NDA government issued an ordinance on the land acquisition bill.

He said “I have been told that the condition of the farmers’ worsens after the Centre issued an ordinance on the land acquisition. So, I am going to Punjab to see their condition. I have strongly opposed the land acquisition bill in the parliament as the amended one will allows the government to clinch the lands from the farmers, who are feeding the country. Our party will fight against this wrong doing by the NDA government.”

Rahul Gandhi spoke to media at New Delhi Railway Station from where he boarded the train. However, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur and Rahul Gandhi's political rivals dubbed his tour as mere political drama intended to attract the media and general public attention. Reacted to their comments he said “What do they want to make everything non-political.”
