Ban on TV-9, ABN Channels likely to be lifted soon

It was almost 3 months that ABN Andhra Jyothy and TV9 news channels banned in Telangana. Despite objections and protests from all sections of society, the ban continuing till date. After a heated debate on this issue held in Rajyasabha today, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting-Prakash Jawadekar summoned a meeting MSO union leaders at New Delhi and warned them if they do not lift the ban before Monday, their licenses will be cancelled. He fumes on them for taking law into hands and controlling the media. He made it clear that this would be the last warning and meeting and no further negotiations will be held with MSOs.

Telangana MOS unions president Sharma assured the minister that ban on both news channels will be lifted immediately and will not repeat such actions against media in future. So, both news channels are likely to be aired from tomorrow or day after tomorrow all over Telangana.
