Going by the recent developments, petrol prices are likely to be hiked anytime in April, 2012. With crude oil prices soaring over $120 in the international markets, the petroleum companies have put pressure on the government to allow them to hike prices.

It is reliably learnt that the government has already conceded to their demand and the prices can be hiked anytime. An increase of Rs. 5 per litre for petrol, 4 for Diesel and Rs. 20 for LPG cylinder are expected.
