To meet UP CM Paytm CEO takes a rickshaw

Paytm’s CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma visited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in a rickshaw all thanks to traffic jam in Lucknow.  Vijay Shekhar Sharma went to Lucknow to receive 'Yash Bharti' Award but in the morning he preferred to take a cycle rickshaw ride because he was getting late and his car was stuck in traffic. Security officers at Akhilesh's 5 Kalidas Marg residence allowed Paytm chief and the rickshaw-puller Maniram to enter only after proper verification, sources in the police department said.  While mentioning the introduction of Metro in the city, Yadav wrote, “A traffic jam forced Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma to visit us in a cycle rickshaw. Lucknow Metro will help solve the traffic jams in city.” Maniram, the rickshaw puller from Tiloi, Rae Bareli was quizzed by the CM about his house, his family, children, the money he earns in a day, and where he stays in the city. Two hours later, he rode out of the CM's bungalow richer by Rs 6,000, riding a brand new rickshaw fixed up for him on instructions of the CM, and with the promise of Samajwadi pension for his wife, an e-rickshaw, and residential quarters in Lucknow.
