Pawan Supports That Community

Cine actor and Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan was chief guest for ‘Chenetha Ikya Garjana - Satyagraham’ organised by the Andhra Pradesh Padmashali Sadhikarika Sangham at Bible Mission Compound near Guntur city on Monday. While speaking at the event, Pawan stated that he will contest in 2019 elections and Jana Sena Party will support weavers community.

Expressing concern over the dire straits of the weaving community, Pawan Kalyan, who was wearing a light-coloured Khadi kurta and pyjama, called upon people to wear handloom clothes at least once in a week.

"I have not come to politics for power, but for social transformation. I will always stand by the oppressed, suppressed and neglected. I will definitely contest elections and Jana Sena Party will always support weavers community,” he said.

Pointing out at the red towel he wore around his neck, Pawan said it was symbol of common man with no caste, creed or religion.

He claimed that he is promoting handloom products and not cool drinks or other commercial products because it gives him utmost satisfaction.

Pawan Kalyan's announcement is in tune with the demand of weavers associations for political representation.
