The story behind NTR’s statue

Media these days was bitten by the controversy on installing the statue of late NT. Ramarao at parliament. It is updating the latest counters given by either side of the people or tries to rope-in some one from the family or from the TDP to its table to debate on this hot topic, thus sincerely contributing from its end. People from both sides were not shown any intention of discontinuing this ugly battle that hurts late NTR fans living across the globe.

While, minister D.Purandeswari is trying to prove her honesty in this regard, TDP leaders including Balakrishna were seen sharply criticizing her and her Congress party. Nandamuri brothers Harikrishna and Balakrishna were also drawn into this controversy. However, what would be their actual intention in taking such a simple matter to roads, while they can resolve this problem by simply calling for a family meeting? Why Nandamuri daughter Purandeswari did also goes to media to counter Chandrababu, instead of calling a family meeting? Why Chandrababu did allows his party leaders to go heavy against his own family members, even though knowing it damages his own family reputation?

As far as D.Purandeswari is concerned she appears to be honestly trying to install her father late NTR’s statue at the parliament. But, she might be obliged to join this dirty fight to save herself from the TDP attacks and to safeguard her political career in Congress party. If, she didn’t responds to TDP’s attack it not only leaves an impression in the public that she is the sinner in the whole issue, but also may damage her political career in her party. Her silence in this regard will make her party suspect of her sincerity and loyalty towards it. So, she might be obliged to retard to every remark that made against her by TDP and the concerned people. Otherwise, she is not a person who loves to rub the media on wrong side.

If we look from TDP end, we can see it badly trapped in a very serious issue recently. Its 3 MPs absence to FDI voting in Rajya Sabha brings the party to its knees. It becomes a concern for Chandrababu, who very well knew that unless he put an end to it at the earliest it is going to damage the party reputation at a crucial moment where the general elections are in the vicinity.

Any political party finds itself trapped in such problems normally adopt the well practiced tradition of diverting the issues with some other hot topics of media and public interest. The most experienced politician of the state Chandrababu Naidu also tried the same trick to overcome his problems. If we could recall his public letter shot to D.Purandeswari soon after her announcement of installing NTR statue at Parliament, it gives us the clue that Chandrababu has intentionally stirred the storm-in-the-tea cup guessing it would be appropriate topic to divert the people and media attention.

Obviously it worked well better than his expectations. Both the media and the people and even his rivals in YSRC have been grasped into it without their knowledge, with which the 3 MPs absence to FDI voting faded away in no time. That may be the exact reason for Chandrababu letting his party leaders spit fire against his own family members. He may put an end to this topic as soon as he confirms that the ‘3 MPs absence to FDI voting’ matter was completely vanished from the public discussions.
