Nelson Mandela passes away

Nelson Mandela (95) was died on Thursday night around 9pm at his residence in Johannesburg. He was ailing with lung disease since last few months. Nelson Mandela, who fought for the rights of black people in South Africa, has been jailed for 27 years. Later, when released was elected President of South Africa.

Nelson Mandela was born at Mvezeo in South Africa on 1918, July 18th. He begins fight against racism from his college days. Mahatma Gandhi is his role model and inspiration for his fight against racism. India Government honored him with prestigious Bharat Ratna Award. He was also honored with Noble Peace Prize.

Mandela’s personal life was also not so smooth. He got married for three times and had 4 children out of his relation with his first two wives Winnie Madikizela, Evelyn Mase. He has married Gracha Machel in 1988 at his 80 years age. His cremation may be conducted with official honors on Saturday. Condolence messages are pouring in from all over the world expressing grief for his death.
