SC refuses to stay NEET ordinance

There is finally some respite for the medical students of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana along with students from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab. The Supreme Court today refused to stay the NEET ordinance exempting these states for this year from the ambit of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for medical colleges. Stating that this would create further confusion. For now, states can go ahead with their own separate medical examinations and they don't have to use the single NEET results for admitting students.
