If proved illegal will demolish: T-Advocate

The common High Court for AP and Telangana has taken-up the petition filed by Tollywood actor Nagarjuna for trial today. There were heated arguments taken place between Telangana Advocate General Ramakrishna Reddy and Nagarjuna’s advocate over intrusion of GHMC officials into N Convention Center and de-marking the area belong to it.

Nagarjuna’s advocate argued that GHMC have tress passed into his client Nagarjuna’s N Convention, taken measurements and de-marking the area. He argued that N Convention has legal documents proving the ownership rights of the actor on the land that GHMC is claiming encroached. He questioned how GHMC officials could enter into private property without giving any prior notice or information. He strongly objected GHMC officials entering into N Convention and for de-marking the area.

However, Ramakrishna Reddy, who represents T-Government, argued that they have all rights to identify the encroachments by individuals or by Companies. He argued that GHMC officials are strictly acting according to the rules and regulations and not violated anyone’s privacy. He also made it clear that if it is proved that N Convention illegally occupies the government lands, GHMC will not hesitate to demolish it.

The High Court before adjourning the case to Wednesday ordered the government not to take any action on N Convention until further orders by it.
