Modi- 1st prime minister to visit Rwanda

Narendra Modi becomes the first prime minister of India to visit the East African country Rwanda. Rwanda had earned the reputation of one of the fastest growing countries in Africa. Modi held one to one talks with President Paul Kagame were termed successful. The two countries signed agreements on leather and allied areas and agricultural research. India has also extended 200 million dollars of credit - a 100 million for development of industrial parks and Kigali special economic zone (SEZ) in Rwanda and another one for USD 100 million for agriculture. "A historic visit starts with a special gesture. President @PaulKagame personally welcomed PM @narendramodi to Rwanda," the Prime Minister's Office tweeted.
