Lok Sabha Speaker and Congress leader Meira Kumar (68), senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh and around 25 candidates filed their nomination papers on Wednesday for six Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar .A sitting MP she has the distinction of being the first Woman Speaker of the Lok Sabha and has been an elected MP a record 4 times .The daughter of dalit leader Babu Jagjivan Ram she is filing her nomination from Sasaram ,Bihar which also happens to be her father’s constituency and this could be her 5th term if she wins the elections this time too.
