LP Gas goes up by Rs 16 50 paise

The Iraq crisis similar to the one in the 1990s Gulf war has resulted in the increase in rates of non-subsidised LPG to Rs 16.50 and ½% increase of jet fuel after the  Rs 1.69 a litre hike in petrol and 50 paisa a litre in diesel announced yesterday. This descion was already made by the Oil Ministry a week ago announcing that the LPG prices would increase on July 1 st and BJP led government was in favour of  a phased increase in gas prices . The price of non-subsidised LPG, which customers buy after using up their quota of 12 subsidised cylinders, is raised by Rs 16.50 per 14.2-kg cylinder, the first hike in six months this year.
