Left parties discontinues hunger strike

The 10 Left parties participated in the indefinite hunger strike protesting the government’s decision to hike the power bills after being disrupted by the police yesterday evening, the leaders were shifted to Gandhi hospital, where they continues their strike till today. However they have discontinued their hunger strike after the government has agreed to consider their demands. CPI state Secretary Narayana and CPM state wing president BV Raghavulu and some other leaders were released from Gandhi hospital a short while ago.
