Ministers must remain on high alert

 

HYDERABAD: Following heavy rains a cabinet meeting that has been scheduled on Monday has been cancelled by the Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao. On Sunday, the situation in the state was reviewed by the CM at the camp office along with Rajiv Sharma i.e., the chief secretary and senior officials. The ministers and officials in Khammam, Adilabad, Warangal and Nizamabad were asked by Mr Rao to remain on high alert and monitor the rescue operations in case of flooding. They were asked by the Chief Minister to give top priority to prevent the loss of lives that might cause due to heavy rains and to stay in their respective districts till the rains reduce.
