Jagan Mohan Reddy to stage dharna at Vizag

YSR Congress party will conduct statewide dharnas at districts’ collectors’ offices on December 5th in protest against the abnormal delay taking place in implementing the elections promises made by the TDP government. Party president Jagan Mohan Reddy also will take part in the maha-dharna to be conducted at collector’s office in Vizag on the same day, said party senior leader Ummareddy Venkateswarulu.

But, people wonder why he chooses Vizag instead of his strong hold places like Nellore or Kadapa districts. Perhaps, it is to hold his party MLAs and their followers slipping away from the party. Three MLAs and one in-charge of the party have met Minister Ganta Srinivasa rao recently, probably seeking admission into TDP. So, Jagan might have chosen Vizag to hold them with the party.

The timing of his dharna is also has some significance. He is staging dharna exactly on the same day when the winter sessions of the state assembly commences. Jagan and his team will try to highlight the government failure in fulfilling poll promises while his party MLAs are crossing swords with the ruling TDP in the house. So, YCP seems has planned to fight with the government from inside and outside simultaneously. However, he has to skip the first day of the sessions to attend dharna at Vizag.
