YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy commented on the contentious Telangana issue. Speaking at the first plenary session of his YSR Congress party, he put the onus of giving separate Telangana state on the Congress party. He said "It is the Congress party that has to give a separate Telangana, It is not in my hands."
