Is Centre ready to replace CM Kiran with Kanna?

When, Minister Kanna Lakshmi Narayana was summoned to New Delhi and had a close-door meeting with party president Sonia Gandhi, media was abuzz with the reports that he is going to replace CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, who becomes a major hurdle in the bifurcation process.

Although, Kanna condemned the reports as rumors and as a conspiracy to ruin his political career, his own followers have placed a flexi banner at Rachcha Banda program held at Guntur recently, showing him as next Chief Minister of the state.

Later, the CMO’s letter to Speaker Nadendla Manohar asking to prorogue the state Assembly, rocks the Congress circles, especially it makes fume those loyal to high command and of course T-Congress leaders also. Many of them have opined that it is time to remove Kiran Kumar Reddy from his CM post.

By now, Congress high command also might have made-up its mind that unless it replaces CM Kiran with its loyalist, he is going to create an embarrassing situation for it, when the Telangana draft is sent to state Assembly for a debate.

So, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana’s sudden meeting with Governor Narasimhan on Saturday morning appears to be a step toward making of new CM. Lagadapati’s by latest told the media that some of his party leaders are ready to eat grass to sit in CM chair. He said CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is fighting alone with high command to keep the state united.” His statement also strengthens the reports about replacing CM Kiran Kumar Reddy very soon.
