IRCTC, the largest e-commerce website in India might be on the loose. It seems that someone has hacked the website and stolen the personal details of around 1 crore Indian consumers. Several personal details such as pan card number, phone number, date of birth... might have been stolen from the website. The information is later copied on a CD and was being sold for 15,000 per copy. The Maharashtra Cyber cell have smelt the crime and has informed the IRCTC official about the theft of data. Though this news of hacking is among the breaking news on every channel, the PRO of IRCTC has denied the reports. He said that a high level committee was formed to find the reality. But if the allegations of hacking were found to be real, it would be largest data theft in Indian history.
