Intelligent transport system starts on NH8

On Sunday, Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport said, at a ceremony that has been held at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Sector - 38, that, an intelligent transport system would be started soon on National Highway- 8. The travel time between the two cities will be reduced to two hours with the help of the new Access Controlled Highway, the land acquisition for which had already begun. Mr. Gadkari providing the Intelligent Transport System’s details said, “CCTV cameras will be installed on the highway to keep a close watch on the traffic movement, especially the violators”, adding that, everyone would have to follow the traffic rules and the violators would be made to cough up penalty.
