Next, High Commissioner’s turn for reshuffle

 

After replacing and shuffling of governors of several states, Modi government is planning to replace India’s High Commissioners and Ambassadors appointed by previous government. India’s High Commissioners to UK-Rajan Mathai, Canada-Nirmal Kumar Verma, Norway-Norman Anil Kumar Browne are likely to be replaced by Modi’s choice of persons. According to reports, senior journalist Swapan Dasgupta, who is also a close friend of Prime Minister Modi, is likely to replace Rajan Mathai as Indian High Commissioner to UK. Brahma Chellaney, who is also in Modi’s team, is likely to appointed as Indian High Commissioner to Canada. Several other names are in consideration for these high end positions. Modi government may start the reshuffle process very soon.
