IAS BP Acharya Emaar scam: The Special CBI Court on Monday granted two day custody to senior IAS officer BP Acharya in the Emaar scam. Earlier The central bureau of investigation (CBI) arrested the senior IAS officer B P Acharya in connection with the multi-crore Emaar Properties scam. Special judge Nagamaruthi Sarma ordered the CBI to produce him before the court by 4 PM on Feb 1. The court sent the IAS officer to CBI custody after the investigating agency said he should be further interrogated to get details on his involvement in the APIIC-Emaar land scam.
